Gotta love google translate!

So when I was working with SOLO a few weeks ago, they did a quick interview with me. I love working with them and hope I can make it back to Sweden this summer, we'll see.

I think the google translation of this is really quite hilarious though, there are some words that don't seem quite the same...

Enjoy!

Whew!

Finally back in Miami after 4 crazy days in Exuma. Flying on a private plane is TOTALLY the way to go!! I think I'll request it from now on. Anyone think that'll work ;-) ?

What a crazy 4 days. We had a guy come up to us the first day saying that his new wife (they were on their honeymoon) had always wanted to model but didn't know how to get into it. So we agreed to at least meet her and OMG... Marisa Miller's lookalike! How amazing. We ended up shooting her for 3/4 of the day. Just goes to show that you never know what's going to happen in this crazy industry.

Anyway, here's some fun behind the scenes goodness.. Enjoy! And if you ever get the chance to go to Exuma...... I highly recommend it!

On the road to the resort

The view from my room

Ahh.... just another day in paradise

My set-up area. I know.. It's sooooo hard not having a motor home.. ;-)

On the 10 seater coming home. Everyone laughed at me on the island, but I was vindicated when we landed and it was FREEZINGGGGGG!!!!!!

We're shooting swim and some tourism stuff, and the resort is really lovely. I would absolutely come back! We had 5 models today, and the same 5 for the next 3 days.. So I'll write more after this week of craziness is done. I have to get up at 5 am. Glamorous stuff, folks... glamorous stuff.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand... we're back!

So I took a (LONG) unplanned break from blogging, but I'm getting back into it now. I was inspired to from working with the fabulous team from SOLO magazine in Sweden.

They all blog every day! I am so in awe of how they update all the time.

They come over every year to shoot a few editorials and so we shot all over the place. Here's the link to what they've been up to: http://karin.solomag.se/ and http://mode.solomag.se/ (click on the UK flag at the bottom of the page to translate into english)

There's even an interview with me in there!! LOL!!

We shot three editorials this time, all in Ft Lauderdale and then we went horseback riding!! It was so much fun and I loved working with them.

Here's a few pictures from behind the scenes:

See you soon!

When did it become May???

So, apparently I've managed to not update this since March!! When did it become May already??

Season in Miami has come and gone, I worked my little tail off and am back in Dallas for summer. Miami was an amazing experience.. I learned a LOT, worked a lot and am grateful for the opportunity.

It's changed how I look at what I do for sure and I still don't want to do anything but this... but it definitely makes me more aware of how I'm going about things and how and what I work on.

On another note, here's a link to my agencies new video page: Agency Gerard Video . Go and take a look.. It took 3 tries to make that thing, lol.

More later..

Done, and Done!

So,

My INCREDIBLY AWESOME booker, Bobby, emails us this morning to tell us that we need to have a Bio on the agency site.

This is what we came up with ^

I like it.

So, I bring to you, THE LONG AWAITED SECOND POST..

Ok, maybe not long awaited. But I was on the Sephora site, sending some recommendations to someone, and felt the urge to tell people about some great makeup lines and colors.

First off, here's Make Up For Ever - www.makeupforever.com

I swear, they don't make a single bad product. Lately, I'm loving the HD Foundation and Powder, the Concealer palettes, the Lift concealer, the Pencil eyeliners and the Lip Liners. There's plenty more that's fabulous, but that's what I was using today and was reminded of just how great they are.

The Brow gels are unlike anything I've ever tried, and are just awesome. Waterproof, smudgeproof..... Sigh.

Let's move on to.....NARS! Another line that's just all around great. The powder (and the cream!) eyeshadows are staples in my kit, as are the blushes. Love, love love the glosses and lipsticks (Chelsea girls, Chihuahua, and so many more are always in my kit) And, I've condensed the lipsticks into little containers, saving so much space so I don't have to carry 80 million loose lipsticks around. www.narscosmetics.com

On to Tarte! The shadows and gel blush are just KILLER, and those pallettes they do every year are such a good deal. I mangle them apart and put them into my own pallettes so everything is organized and color coded.. www.tartecosmetics.com

If you're an organizing freak like me, YABY is the place to go. Liz makes these GENIUS little empties that you can fill with whatever cream you want and put in your own pallette. You have no idea how much space she's saved me. That, and if you want a crazy color, but don't want to spend 20 bucks on a color you won't use a lot, the shadows are the way to go. www.yabycosmetics.com

You can also get everything but Yaby on the sephora website, and yaby is available in the states at www.camerareadycosmetics.com

I'll post more later y'all.. It's getting late.
